Dr R. Chitra Shobana works as an Assistant Professor of English at Arulmigu Palaniandavar College of Arts and Culture, Palani. She has been in teaching profession for about 14years and 6 months. She has been a part of the regular stream of Teaching since January 2009. She has acquired her doctorate in March 2016. Since then, she has to her credential of being an M.phil., guide to 7 students. She has been approved as a research guide from Madurai Kamaraj University since July 2020. She has been one among the organisers of having conducted State and National level seminars in her institution. She has presented many papers in seminars and conferences. Her contribution is prolific in the area of articles publication in Journals and edited volumes. She has to her credit of a paper being published in a UGC care list journal. She has successfully completed three FDP in NPTEL Swayam course in her core areas. She has the credit of having given a special lecture at a Faculty development programme on the topic Teaching Drama: With Special reference to Shakespearean Tragedies. She has given a special lecture on Basic Grammar for Written Communication during the TEQIP – III sponsored five day programme on Communicative English Training for Technical and Supporting Staff Members by the Department of English at Government College of Engineering, Salem. She has chaired two sessions in national level seminars. More than anything she is always happy to be a spirited teacher.
She is a life member of EFSLE and also an Executive Council Member (ECM) of its Tamil Nadu Region.
