Sk. Saniul Islam is from West Bengal and currently pursuing his research in Ranchi University, Ranchi, Jharkhand. His research area is concerned with the ideological differences of Lalan Fakir (Baul) and Bob Dylan in their songs. Apart from Baul songs and lyrics he is also interested in translation studies. As a multilingual translator (English, Hindi, Bengali, Urdu, and Sanskrit) he is also attached with two translation projects. His other area of interests are Linguistics, Eco-criticism, Autobiography , Partition Literature, Prison Literature, Drama , Film Studies, Canadian and Australian literature, etc. He has attended 6 national and international workshops, presented 11 papers in seminar and conferences and written 3 research articles in International Journals. Presently he is busy in editing 2 books on folk songs and folk literature. He is also one of the Coordinators for WB (South) region of EFSLE.
