Dr. C. Anita is an Assistant Professor, Department of English, Thiruvalluvar University. Her forte is Postcolonial Literatures and Eco Criticism. Her area of interest broadens itself into cultural studies and recent critical theories. She received her Doctorate from the Manonmanium Sundaranar University, Thirunelveli, Tamilnadu for her thesis entitled Politics of Cultural Identity: A Study of the Novels of Chinua Achebe and Rudy Wiebe.
Dr. C. Anita has over 12 years of experience in teaching and research. She has presented and published papers in peer reviewed national and international journals in her areas of specialization. She has been Co-Ordinator for various International and national events. She delivered lectures on the topics related to “Gender and Ecology” in National conference on Ecofeminism held at Holy Cross Arts & Science College for Women, Tirupattur, on 8th Feb 2018 and on “Women and Environment: Issues and Confrontations” in a Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development sponsored ‘Training Programme on Gender Equality and Empowerment of Young Girls’ held at Department of English, S.T. Hindu College, Nagercoil, TN. She is an integral part of various National and International Academic Bodies like EFSLE. She has been appointed as one of the Coordinators of EFSLE for its Tamil Nadu Region.
