Professor Siddhartha Singh studied at the University of Allahabad for his postgraduate degree and further for his D.Phil. in English literature. He worked on the critical theories of Harold Bloom. An exhaustive study of Harold Bloom’s critical ideas, contemporary theories, Jewish theology, western philosophy, and literary criticism earned him a D. Phil in 2008. Formerly Associate Professor & Head at MMPG College, Kalakankar, Pratapgarh, U.P. India, he is currently teaching at Sri Jai Narain Post Graduate College, Lucknow, U.P. India.
He has to his credit several papers on theory, diasporic and Indian writing in English in journals of national and international repute, and has participated in many international and national conferences and seminars. His book Understanding T. S. Eliot and Harold Bloom is the only book comparing these two closely associated and yet antagonist critics. Recently he has contributed papers on Nātyaśastra and Nautanki.
He is a lifetime member of EFSLE and also one of the ECMs (Executive Council Member) of its Uttar Pradesh-Central Executive Council as well as the Chief Coordinator of this Region.
