EFSLE has established its Bihar Chapter recently (Jan 2017) with the initiation of an enthusiast Dr. Priyanka Tripathi, IIT, Patna.

In January 2025, EFSLE established its new Executive Council (EC) in the state. There are Two Councils in the state now:

1. Bihar (West)- This Region comprises of Five Divisions of the state:I. Tirhut Division (including 6 Districts of East Champaran,  Muzaffarpur, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Vaishali and West Champaran)

   II. Patna Division (including 6 Districts of Bhojpur,  Buxar,  Kaimur, Patna, Rohtas and Nalanda)

   III. Saran Division (including 3 Districts of Chhapra, Siwan and Gopalganj)

   IV. Darbhanga Division (including 3 Districts of Darbhanga, Madhubani, and Samastipur)

   V. Magadh Division (including 5 Districts of Aurangabad Arwal, Gaya, Jehanabad and Nawada)

2. Bihar (East)- This Region comprises of Four Divisions of the state:I. Kosi Division (including 3 Districts of Madhepura, Saharsa and Supaul)

   II. Munger Division (including 6 Districts of Begusarai, Jamui, Khagaria, Munger, Lakhisarai and Sheikhpura)

   III. Purnia Division (including 4 Districts of Araria,  Katihar,  Kishanganj and Purnia)

   IV. Bhagalpur Division (including 2 Districts of Bhagalpur and Banka)

The Joint Secretary of the state is:
