Dr Asha Tiwari is an Associate Professor and the HOD of Sanskrit Department, Bharati College, University of Delhi. She earned her Ph.D. in Sanskrit from Shri H.N. Bahuguna Central Garhwal University, Uttarakhand, on the topic of Saundarya Lahari Ka Darshanik Evam Sahitik Adhyan. She did her Postdoctoral Research from Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rastriya Sanskrit Central University, New Delhi. She holds two Postgraduate degrees- M.A. in Sahitya from Shri H.N. Bahuguna Central Garhwal University and Acharya Puranetihas from Rastriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi and eventually she bagged gold medal in both of the degrees. Her areas of specialization include Literature, Purana and Yoga. She has presented about 30 papers in various National and International Seminars and Conferences across the nation. She served as programme officer of National Service Scheme (NSS), Bharati College, University of Delhi from July 2020- November 2023. She is working with Sanskrit Bharati Delhi as Jila Upaadhyksha to promote the glory of Sanskrit language. She has a vast experience to work for Community Outreach Programme to nurture the youth potential. She has been working with Nehru Yuva Kendra since a long time and receiving appraisal for her ceaseless and persistent contribution to serve the society. She is a member of Garhwal Kumauni Academy. She extends her interest to explore the innovative ideas related to the field of Indian Knowledge System (IKS) and its comparative oeuvres of Ecocritical concerns which incorporate the study of Indian Classical, Spiritual and Philosophical tradition. She extensively works with the ingenious projects of some significant socio-ecoliterary organizations such as EFSLE.
She is a lifetime member of EFSLE and also an Executive Council Member (ECM) for its Delhi-NCR region.
