Dr Parneet Jaggi is Associate Professor of English at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Government College, Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, a bilingual poet writing in English and Punjabi, editor, critic and novelist. She has five collections of poems- The Page I Tore, Beyond Words, Show me How Not to Grow, Live Love Light and Euphonies of Heart and Soul. Her research books, The Indelible Indianness, Matthew Arnold and the Bhagavad Gita: A Study of His Poems and Social and Economic Values in the Teachings of Sikh Gurus reveal her love for Indian culture, religion and philosophy. She has co-edited five books. Her historical fiction The Call of the Citadel (jointly authored with Vikram Singh Deol) published in 2020 earned great appreciation, critical reviews and Aazad International Award for Historical Fiction 2021in World Poetry Conference, Chandigarh.
Her name appears in the ‘Directory of Writers’ in America’s magazine Poets and Writers. She was declared the ‘Poet of the Year 2019’ and ‘Critic of the Year 2019’ by Destinypoets, Yorkshire, UK and won the Wingword Poetry prize (India) 2020 for her Punjabi poem. She is the recipient of “Star Ambassador of World Poetry” by Philosophique Poetry and Grand Productions, Canada (2019) and “Master of Creative Impulse” by World Literature India (2020).
A Gold medalist honours graduate in Indian Classical Music from Panjab University, Chandigarh and a gold medalist Post Graduate in English and Ph.D from Kurukshetra University, Dr. Parneet Jaggi is widely published in national and international journals and anthologies. Reviews of her poetry and novel, and her interviews have been published in journals like Muse India, Setu (USA), Fasihi magazine (Africa), Literary Voice (UGC Care Journal) etc.
She is a life member of EFSLE and also the Joint Secretary of its Rajasthan-North Region.
