Dr Rama Naga Hanuman Alapati is presently working as an Assistant Professor (Sr. Scale) in the Department of English at University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. Prior to that, he had worked at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, since 2006. Dr. Alapati was a Visiting Post-Doctoral Scholar at the ‘International Forum for US Studies’ (IFUSS), ‘University of Illinois’ at Urbana-Champaign, USA (2015), and, a recipient of the prestigious UGC’s Raman Post-Doctoral Fellowship (2014-15), which he availed at ‘Bowling Green State University’, USA. Besides, he has also received two other fellowships from the US Consulate, Hyderabad (2012) and US Embassy, New Delhi (2011). To his credit, till date, he has several research papers in National and International Journals and three books – Metaphors of Subversion in American Fiction (2012), Life through Language: a Holistic Approach (2014) and English for Cognitive and Communication Skills (2016). Dr. Alapati has also organized and participated in Seminars, Conferences and Workshops, both in India and USA.
He is a lifetime member of EFSLE and also an Executive Council Member (ECM) for its Telangana Region.
