There are 2 Executive Councils of EFSLE in this state:
- Garo Hills (Western Meghalaya) – This region consists of 5 Districts of North Garo Hills, East Garo Hills, South Garo Hills, West Garo Hills and South West Garo Hills.
- Khasi & Jaintia Hills (Eastern Meghalaya) – This region consists of 6 Districts of East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, South West, Eastern West Khasi Hills and Ri-Bhoi.
In Meghalaya EFSLE has been recently introduced with its Joint Secretary and two Coordinators. However, two more nominations are already there for the post of Coordinators:
